Riding ACPT

Henderson County provides the following tips for traveling on an Apple Country Public Transit bus:

Boarding

While waiting to board the bus, please stand at a designated & signed bus stop. Apple Country Public Transit's first priority is the safety of its customers and cannot guarantee that customers at any location will be picked up.

Deboarding

When you get within a block of your destination (or your destination is the next scheduled bus stop), ring the chime to signal the operator that you wish to exit. Please stay seated until the bus comes to a complete stop, then exit. Ring the chime by pulling on the cord located along or just below the windows. No continuous riding is permitted.

Firearms / Weapons

No firearms or weapons are permitted on Apple Country Transit vehicles.

Eating / Drinking / Smoking

Smoking, eating, and drinking are strictly prohibited on all transit buses. Please extinguish cigarettes and dispose of, or store away, all food and beverages before boarding the bus.

Safety and Comfort Guide

Please do not engage the operator in conversation so that he or she concentrate fully on operating the transit bus. For the safety and comfort of other passengers: weapons, radios/music players without earphones, profanity, and spitting are not permitted. Help keep buses clean by keeping your feet off the seats and taking all trash with you.
