Stormwater Phase II Post-Construction Program:

The local stormwater permitting program regulates site development and post-construction stormwater runoff control.

Areas subject to this local stormwater program include the unincorporated areas of Henderson County, the Town of Fletcher, the Town of Laurel Park, and the Village of Flat Rock.

To ensure that your project is reviewed by Henderson County,  enter the address on the Post-Construction Stormwater Permitting Map. Link is provided on the left-hand side of this page.

Locate the appropriate ordinance which regulates your project's jurisdiction.

The Stormwater Permitting Program implements local stormwater control policies, strategies, and rules designed to protect the surface waters of Henderson County from the impacts of stormwater pollutants and runoff. The staff handles permitting for post-construction (development projects) stormwater programs and provides technical assistance to the regulated community, engineers, industry, and citizens.
