Medicaid:
Allows eligible citizens to receive physician services as well as
routine preventive care for children, inpatient and outpatient hospital
care and prescriptions. The program also emphasizes prenatal care for
pregnant women. Medicaid is also a significant source of income for
nursing home care, medical care, and prescription drugs for elderly and
disabled citizens. It also helps provide home and community based
services to individuals who would otherwise require nursing facility
care.
North Carolina Health Choice:
This is a state sponsored insurance program that covers the children of working families that have income too high for Medicaid coverage but cannot afford private health insurance. Based on income, some families may be required to pay a yearly premium for coverage that never exceeds $100 per family.
Transportation Services:
We also provide transportation to and from medical care facilities for individuals who are not able to provide transportation for themselves.
